What you love, you protect

The Pflüger family has farmed land on the edge of the Palatinate Forest near Bad Dürkheim for 200 years. Initially as a mixed agricultural business and since the end of the 1970s solely as a winery. As for the region in which we have lived and worked for so long, we have an intimate relationship. We protect, what we love.

One step ahead

At a time when few were talking about it, Bernd Pflüger (Alex's father), took the leap into organic farming. He was one of the first from a handful of Palatinate winegrowers who converted their businesses. At the end of the 1980s, they were the organic pioneers.

Looking forward

Our long tradition is a promise to the future. Itwas always the people looking ahead with courage and new ideas whomade viticulture sustainable and future orientated.

Pflüger family become farmers.
1905
As member of the local co-operative, Pflüger specializes in wine growing.
1959
Now independent, Hans Pflüger fills the first bottles of Pflüger wine.
1976
A great vintage! On the outskirts of Bad Dürkheim,the newly built winery works on about 5 hectares of vineyards.
1980
The next generation. Bernd Pflüger takes over thewinery.
1985
Organic growing begins.
1989
Pflüger winery achieves organic certification.
2008
The new generation. Alex takes the reins and achieves Demeter certification. Vineyards now covering 20 hectares. Cultivation of Pinot Noir accelerates.
2010
International growth. Pflüger wines now firmly established in Europe, the USA and Asia.
2020
Vineyards enlarged to 38 hectares.
2024
New tasting room and Barrique cellar.
2025
First agroforestry project finalized.
